Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Resident Technical Officer to join our team in Singapore, Singapore. As a key member of our construction supervision team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of various civil engineering projects.

Provide quality and compliance supervision for construction of mechanical works, including piping, water tanks, etc,Assist the Superintending Officer in daily supervision and coordination dutiesInspect and supervise contractors' works and tests according to approved drawings and specificationsMaintain accurate quality records of all works and monitor project progressImplement and oversee quality assurance plans in a well-coordinated mannerCoordinate with contractors, stakeholders, authorities, and interfacing contractors on the execution of worksAssist engineers in supervision, inspection, and quality control of on-site construction workMonitor and report on work progress as per the contractor's approved programHandle contractors' queries, reports, and verify claimsEnsure adherence to local building codes and regulationsCollaborate with project teams to identify and resolve technical issuesContribute to the continuous improvement of construction processes and methodologies

QualificationsDiploma in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldRegistration as a Resident Technical Officer with relevant accreditation bodiesMinimum of 3 years of relevant experience in quality assurance inspections for civil engineering projectsComprehensive knowledge of construction works, including drainage, roads, and infrastructure projectsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent attention to detail and organizational abilitiesProficiency in project management software and MS Office suiteIn-depth understanding of local building codes and regulationsOutstanding communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentCustomer-focused approach with a commitment to project successAdaptability to changing project requirements and deadlines
