Residential Advocate Responsibilities:

Monitors self-administration of medications and reconciles medication.Completes admission documents, living skills assessment treatment plans/updates, monthly progress notes, activity notes, discharge documents, environmental/infection control

rounds, and monthly fire drills.

Teaches/educates residents on basic living skills, kitchen/fire safety, preparation for weather emergencies.Assists/attends to physical maintenance/cleanliness of facility, monitors supplies.Completes maintenance requests, fire extinguisher checks, weekly bedroom/bath or apartment inspections.Facilitates community meetings, social activities/groups.Supports supervisor.Informs supervisor of unusual situations/behaviors, completes incident reporting, communication log entries/shift report notes.Transports residents as needed.Communicates with treatment team.Complies with AHCA regulations/mandates.Reports change in condition to appropriate staff for intervention or hospitalization.Responds to emergencies according to program procedures.Provides direct monitoring/visual contact for residents deemed a risk to self/others.At group homes, monitors food inventory, prepares/serves meals per menu, proper food handling, documents substitutions.Conducts chart reviews for compliance.

Requirements:

Basic cooking skills.FL Driver's License (Coverage requires drivers to be 21 years old with 2 years driving

experience (drivers over 69 may require a Driver’s Road test.)

BLS (within 60 days)First Aid (within 60 days)High School Diploma or Equivalent
