We are looking for a talented individual…

To join our team as a Residential Energy Inspector! You will act as a local on-site program and company representative to residential customers under the Mass Save Home Energy Services (HES) Residential Coordinated Delivery program.

This tremendous program includes setting up specific Instant Savings Measures (ISM) for participants and coordinating the completion of the recommended measures, including installation of Thermal, Air-Sealing, Duct Sealing, Duct Insulation and Thermostat savings measures.

Successful candidates will be based in Waltham, Newton or Boston, MA.

Provide insights on available energy savings measures via thorough energy home inspections

Troubleshoot technical problems and issues in accordance with client specifications

Act as local, on-site program and company representative to customers and contractors; to encourage participation in the program and overcome barriers.

Travel daily throughout a defined territory in a company provided vehicle.

In this exciting career opportunity, you will have...

Relevant experience in building science or a related field is acceptable

Building Performance Institute (BPI) Building Analyst certification is required within 6 months of hire, but will be provided by the company if not attained prior

Any experience in residential construction, energy conservation, HVAC, building diagnostics, air infiltration reduction and insulation

Ability to frequently lift 40 pounds, climb attic stairs and climb a small ladder to access workspaces. Ability to frequently crawl in awkward confined spaces required. Basic competency with a variety of small hand tools required

The ability to fluently speak Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin, or other foreign languages is a plus
