FlexStaff is seeking an LPN to work for one of our external clients, a community services non-profit organization serving people with developmental disabilities for their residential programs, located in Jamaica, Queens, NY.
This is a permanent, full-time job with every other rotating weekends.
Available shift: 4pm-12am
In this role you will be responsible for providing nursing care, and nursing services in Residences with medically fragile individuals under supervision of Registered Nurse, administering medication, and entering all information on medical charts and following up on medical problems as directed.
An ideal candidate would be a graduate of an accredited program of professional nursing and have a valid license and current registration as an LPN in the State of New York.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
+ Provides nursing care, including medication requisition, administration and record keeping. Closely monitors individual's condition and responds to changes. Works closely with Registered Nurse.
+ Follows up on all problems (i.e., reporting to RN or MD or residence RN) in writing and by telephone on any concerns.
+ Participates with clinical team in discussion of individual's skills and writes consumer health goals as needed. Actively implements designed programs by following prescribed methodology as relating to nursing goals.
+ Maintains records and charts for each individual by entering required information (medical progress, temperatures, changes in behavior, etc.).
+ Completes and responds to all requests for information, including incident review, employee-related grievances, etc.
+ Maintains cleanliness and safety of individual environment.
+ Uses special equipment, responds to changes in individual's condition, participates in evacuation drills, and gives in-services on individual care, etc.
+ Observes individuals and reports to Registered Nurse any concerns, injuries, and/or seizures, bruises, etc. Administers first aid when necessary.
+ Maintains charts and records monthly updates, requests information from residence for medication, diets, weights, etc. Attends annual and semi-annual conferences for individuals as assigned with appropriate written information.

When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g. location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget, and internal equity).
The salary range for this position is $90,000-$100,000/year
