Today, we are a leading not-for-profit agency employing 1000+ staff and providing over 70 program sites in Nassau and Suffolk. ACLD (Adults and Children with Learning and Developmental Disabilities, Inc.) is looking for a seasoned, dynamic Residential Manager to direct the day-to-day operations of an adult residential group home. 

 

The ideal candidate can manage diverse duties and multiple priorities; and is able to maintain effective relationships with people supported, families, staff, and other internal/external departments. Candidate should have strong initiative, excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to be creative, while managing multiple priorities in a busy residence. 

 

This is a full-time position and requires flexibility in work schedule including at least one evening and one early morning shift per week and weekend hours. Position is also required to be on-call.

 

Responsibilities:

Promote a positive and productive work environmentHire, train and coach all direct care employees including Assistant ManagerPromote ACLD’s values and strategic visionDevelop and manage Individual Service Plans and Plans of Protection/Behavior Support PlansEnsure oversight of Health & Fire SafetyManage crisis situations and behavioral issues as the needs ariseManage budgets and ensure sound fiscal management procedures are being followedEnsure accurate documentation and service billing is complete and submitted in a timely fashionDiligent in complying with OPWDD and ACLD policies, rules and regulations

 

We require:

High School DiplomaTwo years experience working in I/DD fieldOne year supervisory experienceStrong managerial skills and written and verbal communication skillsClean and valid New York driver’s licenseStrong Microsoft Office computer skills
