This is a great opportunity for a Chartered Surveyor with a deep understanding of the UK residential property market to play a key role in managing Aviva’s secured property portfolio. If you have expertise in property transactions, construction methods, and asset management, this could be the perfect role for you.
A bit about the job:
As an Operational Management Expert – Property & Surveying, you will be responsible for overseeing property-related risks and ensuring high professional standards across valuations and surveys. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external contractors, providing expert advice and ensuring that property underwriting decisions align with Aviva’s Lending Criteria for Lifetime Mortgages.
Your role will involve conducting remote security assessments, desktop surveys, and file audits while ensuring that external valuation reports meet Aviva’s required standards. You’ll also contribute to refining lending criteria and managing Aviva’s secured property portfolio. While this is an office-based role, occasional UK travel may be required.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
Qualified Chartered Surveyor – (FRICS, MRICS, or AssocRICS).
Strong knowledge of UK residential property market and property transactions (including tenure, easements, wayleaves, and covenants).
Experience in structural assessments, property dilapidations, and asset management.
Familiarity with overages, option agreements, lease extensions, and enfranchisement.
Ability to collaborate with stakeholders, contractors, and surveyors to ensure professional standards are upheld.
