**Position Description**
The Residential Program Manager at Wediko NH is a leadership role responsible for the oversight and implementation and oversight of residential programming that enhances student engagement and supports the residential program’s therapeutic objectives. The Program Manager works closely with the Manager of Youth Engagement and Professional Learning, Director of Milieu Services, Milieu Directors, and direct care staff to ensure that day-to-day programming is implemented safely and with fidelity. The Program Manager oversees the daily pre-shift log which outlines staff and student patterns, programming updates, and other pertinent information. This requires close collaboration with various personnel to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.
This role also serves as the primary supervisor for Campus Coordinators, providing ongoing guidance, performance oversight, and mentorship to enhance team effectiveness. Furthermore, the Residential Program Manager is tasked with making day-to-day decisions that balance campus needs with available resources, safety considerations, staffing patterns, and foundational program expectations.
**How You'll Be Making a Difference**
+ Oversee the daily pre-shift log to ensure staff are informed and prepared for their shifts.
+ Provide direct support in crisis situations, including therapeutic intervention, physical interventions, and de-escalation strategies.
+ Problem-solve crisis situations and other complex interventions, acting as a leader in these instances to ensure effective outcomes and the safety of all involved.
+ Direct staff in real-time to maintain efficiency, safety, and adherence to program objectives.
+ Serve as the primary supervisor for Campus Coordinators, ensuring alignment with programmatic goals and expectations.
+ Make real-time decisions to balance campus needs with resources, safety, and foundational expectations.
+ Provide leadership in overseeing and ensuring the fidelity of residential programming, working closely with the Director of Milieu Services, the Manager of Youth Engagement and Professional Learning, Milieu Directors, and direct care staff to ensure implementation.
+ Work in collaboration with the Director of Milieu Services to ensure staffing structures support program goals, and make staffing adjustments.
+ Supports campus-wide programming, special events, and enrichment opportunities that align with student needs and interests (e.g., volunteer initiatives, recreational outings, academic partnerships).
+ Provide support to staff and students in the delivery of residential programming, ensuring effective engagement strategies and consistency in strength-based approaches.
+ Collaborate with clinical and educational teams to seamlessly integrate therapeutic and clinical elements, striving for consistency across programs.
+ Evaluate student participation and engagement in activities, using data to refine and improve program offerings.
+ Train and mentor staff in best practices for youth engagement, crisis management, positive reinforcement, and trauma-informed care.
+ Coordinate with other staff to support various programing and community connections (e.g., Incentives, YMCA, volunteer trips, etc.) and ensure they align with broader treatment goals.
+ Collaborate with internal and external partners to coordinate off-campus enrichment experiences and community-based learning.
+ Participate in relevant committee meetings and contribute to strategic planning efforts for program improvement.
+ May be required to provide on-call support and assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of senior staff.
+ Ensure that end-of-shift logs are delegated appropriately and completed accurately by staff.
+ Ensure incident reports are delegated/completed in a thorough, accurate, and professional manner, reflecting the situation clearly for documentation and follow-up.
**Qualifications**
+ Equivalent to two years of college and/or two years child care experience in a residential setting with similar population of children
+ Supervisory experience helpful
+ Computer literate including Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer with the ability to learn new software applications
