Job Purpose & Scope
Manages a pipeline of non-complex valuation projects across all property types. In this role, you will scope valuation projects, engage external appraisers, and review appraisal reports to ensure our originations and special asset management teams have credible valuation reports and reliable collateral values for decision-making purposes.
Essential Job Functions
+ Performs reviews of non-complex residential real estate projects to determine the credibility of the valuation report as to the market value opinion.
+ Communicates with originations personnel to understand the financing request and collateral property characteristics for valuation scoping purposes.
+ Ensures appraisal reports comply with Bank policy and engagement letter terms.
+ Follows federal and state regulatory requirements including, but not limited to, USPAP and FIRREA.
+ Evaluates value reconsiderations requested by originations, credit, and special assets personnel.
+ Assists with the recruitment of residential real estate valuation vendors and assessment of vendor performance.
+ Ensures compliance with department procedures, guidelines, and best practices.
+ Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in the performance of essential job functions.
+ Maintains good punctuality and attendance to work.
+ Follows Bank policy, procedures, and guidelines .
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
+ Knowledge of residential real estate appraisal standards and requirements applicable to federally regulated real estate transactions.
+ Knowledge of trending appraisal methods and appraisal review theory.
+ Knowledge of the Collateral Management System (CMS) appraisal management platform.
+ Ability to use a residential appraisal management platform to manage your project pipeline.
+ Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
+ Ability to demonstrate initiative to accomplish work objectives.
+ Ability to consistently demonstrate good organizational skills.
+ Ability to work effectively and demonstrate flexibility in a continually changing environment.
+ Ability to manage multiple tasks with exacting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
+ Ability to maintain attention to detail.
+ Skill in computer and Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
Basic Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent or commensurate work experience, required; Associate degree, preferred.
+ State Registered Trainee/Apprentice Appraiser License, required.
+ Minimum of two (2) years’ real estate related work experience, required.
+ 500 hours of qualifying state certified work experience, required.
