Executive Director

Under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer, the RTC-Executive Director is responsible for the daily operations of the facility, including clinical performance, patient satisfaction, staff engagement, and financial contributions and assuring the facility’s overall compliance with state, federal and company standards. The RTC-Executive Director shall provide routine updates to the Chief Executive Officer to ensure communication is timely and decisions on facility operations are made in concert with the directions of the Chief Executive Officer.  The RTC-Executive Director shall have responsibility for the production of facility reports, census submissions, vendor invoice approvals and implementation of facility-specific financial plans.  Essential Job FunctionsOversees the day-to-day operations of the facility and provides oversight and guidance in any and all aspects of the facility. Coordinates activities with Clinical Director as indicated.Works to constantly improve operational systems, processes, and policies in support of the organization’s mission.Manages and increases the effectiveness and efficiency of operational departments through improvements to each function, as well as coordination and communication between support and business functions.Manages budget in coordination with executive leadership, collaborating with the CEO to develop program budgets.Demonstrates the ability to make decisions and find alternative solutions to problems.Ensures a client-centered care delivery system.Ensures stakeholder markers are met.Plays a significant role in long-term planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence.Regularly meets with executive leadership members around fiscal planning and central initiatives.Provides support to sister centers as needed.

Supervisory Responsibility

The RTC-Executive Director will directly supervise the RTC-Clinical Director, RTC-Case Management Supervisor, and RTC-Operations Manager and may supervise other positions depending on facility size.

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma required; BS/BA degree in either business administration or healthcare/clinical services preferred. Three (3) years of previous experience in a Healthcare setting. Three (3) years of previous administrative experience.  Previous work history in addiction counseling and/or substance abuse treatment. Demonstrable and proven leadership and supervisory skills. Strong communication and organizational skills with an acute attention to detail. Demonstrable working knowledge of computer programs and systems such as but not limited to Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and email. Excellent critical and forward-thinking skills. Familiarity with office machines (printer, fax, multi-line phone, etc.). Previous experience with EHR systems. Excellent interpersonal skills with a high level of diplomacy and political awareness, and ability to work effectively as a member of a team. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines. Satisfactory references from employers and/or professional peers. Satisfactory criminal background check. Satisfactory drug screen.
