Overview Job Summary: A Resort Engineer at Black Desert Resort is responsible for maintaining and ensuring the functionality, safety, and efficiency of the resort’s infrastructure and facilities. This position reports to the Chief Engineer and plays a critical role in addressing maintenance issues, performing repairs, and implementing preventive maintenance programs. Job Specification: Location: Onsite at Black Desert Resort Shift & Schedule: Year-Round / Full Time Pay Range: $22.00 - $31.00 / hour. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors. Job Responsibilities but not limited to: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, pools & hot tubs, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry work. Address and resolve maintenance issues promptly and efficiently to ensure guest satisfaction and safety. Implement and manage preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and prolong the life of equipment and facilities. Conduct regular inspections of the resort’s infrastructure, identifying potential issues and taking corrective actions. Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance tasks. Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely resolution of maintenance requests and support overall resort operations. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and building codes. Respond to emergency maintenance requests and be available for on-call duties as needed. Assist with renovation and remodeling projects as required. Participate in training sessions and stay updated on the latest maintenance techniques and safety practices. Qualifications Preferred Qualifications and Skills: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a maintenance or engineering role, preferably in a hospitality or resort setting. Valid Utah driver's license and satisfactory driving record. Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, swimming pools, and general maintenance practices. Certification or training in relevant maintenance fields is preferred. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and organizational skills. Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Proficiency with maintenance management software and tools. Compensation Range The compensation for this position is $22.00/Hr. - $31.00/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
