Resort Groundskeeper - Part Time

 

 

OVERVIEW

Resort Groundskeepers perform a variety of landscaping maintenance and snow removal duties (where applicable). They regularly mow lawns, weed, plant flowers, plow snow, remove debris from property grounds, and overall ensure our resorts are well-maintained and look presentable. Resort Groundskeepers also work to ensure our residents and guests receive quality customer service. On occasion, Resort Groundskeepers may help out with light maintenance work throughout the property.

JOB DUTIESEnsures lawns are manicured appropriatelyRegularly treat weeds for weed control, weed whip, rake leaves, plant flowers/shrubs, spread mulch/woodchips/stones, trim shrubs and hedges, cut down and remove tree limbs damaged by adverse weather conditions, and perform other lawn care servicesPicks-up trash and debris from common areas and streets on a daily basis. Empties trash in common areas, shoveling, performing maintenance or repair duties, using saws, weed eaters, blowers, mowers, drills or other hand toolsInspects irrigation system regularly to ensure it is working properly; repairs as neededReports all resort maintenance issues and concerns that they may identify while performing their daily duties directly to their managerMaintains resort vehicles and equipmentEnsures resort is presentable at all times and adheres to Sun's curb appeal standardsIf applicable, maintains resort pool(s), testing chemical levels, adjusting appropriatelySafely operates vehicles for the purpose of performing job dutiesFollows safety procedures while performing dutiesOther duties and special projects as assigned

REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or GED (Required)6 months previous groundskeeping experience in the resort industryDemonstrated knowledge of and broad experience in general grounds maintenance techniquesAbility to endure seasonal temperatures as working conditions requires constant outdoor workProficient skills in operating various hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machineryAbility to provide legible written reportsAbility to work well independently as well as a teamAbility to lift at least 25 poundsBasic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and the internetMust have a valid driver's license
