Resource Management Analyst

Job Description

The role-holder will need to be a committed individual, who combines high emotional intelligence and excellent communication skills. The environment is dynamic and ever-changing, moving at the pace of our clients’ needs. The Resource Manager Analyst will be expected to understand the sense of urgency that is synonymous with the business. The pressure is high to resolve resourcing demands quickly, find creative solutions, and make autonomous decisions. The role reports into the Associate Director of Resource Management, based in the US.

Manage the allocation of client facing staff to client projects at a global and regional level drawing on robust negotiation skills to resolve conflicts and escalating issues when necessaryDemonstrate the confidence and empathy to disrupt the status quo when necessaryBe comfortable with staffing analytics, maintain resource management data integrity in the systems that support resource and project management decisions. Flag resourcing capability gaps as an input to hiring and to provide guidance into Learning & DevelopmentDemonstrating strong commercial awareness monitor and drive compliance to our financial management system, identify and propose solutions to resolve longer term patterns relating to forecast and actual utilization, monitoring and investigating discrepancies between the data and providing insightBuild reports/dashboards to provide teams with improved insights for resource allocations, compliance, utilization, and metrics.Attend/participate in staffing and team calls.Collaborate effectively with global resource management colleagues to deploy staff for delivery team members in a manner that optimizes overall productivity while supporting their individual development objectives.Engage with the principals and other senior leaders to understand, plan for, and ultimately meet the resourcing demands of their pipeline using various reports and tools.Monitor and communicate current and near-term delivery capacity.Flag resourcing capability gaps to the Resource Management team as an input to hiring.Identify and resource within the US RWS COEs to client projects, business development opportunities, thought leadership and internal initiatives in a fast-paced environment.Appropriately escalate conflicts and unresolvable issues to leadership team for their support

Education, Skills, Experience & Specialized Knowledge

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.Proven problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.A self-starting mind-set with excellent team-based interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently with the full spectrum of our people.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to build strong business relationships and influence with key stakeholders at all levels within the business.Ability to demonstrate determination, diplomacy, and resilience.Ability to rapidly assimilate multiple types of information from a variety of sources for effective decision making.Prior experience in a resource management environment and a professional services environment is a plus.Proficient in Microsoft Office applicationsExperience with Smartsheet, PSA (Professional Services Automation) can CRM (Customer Relationship Management) is a plus.
