Resource Manager
The Position:
Summit Search Group has been retained by our North American client on the recruitment of their newest Resource Manager. Our client is a leader in delivering innovative marketing and creative services across North America. Our client’s remote setup allows them to collaborate seamlessly with clients and team members, ensuring that results can be delivered no matter where they are located.
As the Resource Manager, you are responsible for optimizing resource allocation, managing project timelines, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. This role requires a deep understanding of team capacities, strong organizational skills in prioritizing tasks, and expertise in using Workamajig for scheduling and project tracking. The Resource Manager will also act as a liaison with vendors and contractors, oversee hiring and forecasting, and support the Project Management Director in maintaining production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and allocate resources based on project demands, ensuring alignment with team capacity and skill sets. • Approve and set realistic timelines, working closely with stakeholders to align expectations with our client’scapabilities. • Monitor deadlines and project progress, updating Workamajig to reflect priority adjustments. • Manage the daily workflow, ensuring priorities are clearly communicated within the production team. • Update and maintain task schedules in Workamajig for transparent tracking of top-priority projects. • Build and sustain relationships with freelancers, vendors, and contractors, coordinating outsourced tasks, production, and printing services. • Conduct regular reporting on resource allocation, efficiency, and timeline adherence to guide ongoing project decisions and adjustments. • Collaborate with the Project Management Director to enhance capacity and workflow scheduling. • Monitor AGI (Annual Gross Income) and adjust labor projections based on sales forecasts and production requirements.Qualifications:
• Post-Secondary Education in Project Management, Business Administration, Marketing or a related field. • 3+ years experience in a related position. • Experience managing and leading projects through completion.
