Resource Manager:
Dewberry is currently searching for a self-motivated, qualified professional to support our DRS business unit with the staffing and management of our disaster recovery contracts. Through these contracts, Dewberry provides our clients with a variety of professional services that often require the deployment of staff to an area impacted by a disaster to support the local recovery efforts involving infrastructure inspection or temporary housing. As the lead for identifying qualified and available resources to support deployments around the county, often with relatively short notice, the Resource Manager is a key member of the contract support group.
The Resource Manager supports the DRS group with maintaining resource readiness, task order staff selection, and task order management on our disaster recovery contracts. They assist with the maintenance of a large roster of internal and subcontractor resources with skills and experience necessary to execute future task order assignments, identify and recommend qualified, available staff for the requested roles, manage, and support the deployment of staff to field operations, and monitor and record staff performance, in addition to other responsibilities. The urgency of the work often requires availability outside of normal office hours, including weekends.
Required Skills & Required ExperienceRequired Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field
• Minimum of 8 years of full-time professional experience in field of study
• Proficient with MS Office suite of applications, e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams
• Excellent oral and written communication skill
• Highly organized
• Able to work both independently and in a team environment under stressful conditions
• Available to work up to 12 hours/day, 7 days a week for extended periods
• Ability to travel intermittently
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to successfully pass a federal background investigation
• Must have a clean driving record and able to maintain a valid driver’s license to operate a company, personal, or rental vehicle
Preferred Skills and Experience:
• Experience in human resource management, project staffing, or related
• Experience in engineering design and/or construction management involving public infrastructure, land development, and/or commercial or residential construction
• Project or task order management experience
• Working knowledge of the FEMA Public Assistance program and/or Direct Housing program
• Prior deployment in support of a FEMA disaster recovery program
• Successfully adjudicated Department of Homeland Security/FEMA background investigation
Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record and ability to pass a driving record background check.
