 Job Summary: A Resource Registered Nurse is responsible for implementing the philosophy, objectives, standards of care, policies, and procedures of the Nursing Division under the direction of the Nurse Manager. The Resource Registered Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care on multiple units in response to current need.

 Minimum Requirements: Graduate from an approved School of Nursing with at least two years' experience delivering nursing care in an acute care setting. One year experience at CarolinaEast Health System preferred. Current RN license with North Carolina State Board of Nursing. Knowledge of current trends and techniques in nursing. BLS, ACLS, and PALS required. Possesses the ability to relate effectively to patients, their families, physicians, staff, and all others using proper channels of communication. Recognizes the importance of being a professional role model for others. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her unit(s). The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the unit's/ area's/ department's policies and procedures.
