The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT-III) functions in an advanced, multi-faceted role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in the practice of respiratory care. The RRT-III is responsible for the respiratory assessment, therapeutic treatment, evaluation, testing, education, and communication for all patient populations served. The RRT-III maintains competency in the broadest range of respiratory therapy and technologies and can work independently within the entire scope of respiratory services at their respective facilities. The RRT-III coordinates care with interdisciplinary team to promote an excellent patient experience.
