As a Respiratory Care Limited Permit Holder, you’ll work with respiratory therapists, technicians, nurses and physicians to meet our patients’ diverse and changing needs.

A caregiver in this PRN position can be expected to work rotating nights, evenings and day shifts with rotating weekend and holiday requirements.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Administer aerosol treatments

Complete arterial blood gas (ABG) tests

Participate in Metered dose inhaler (MDI) therapy.

Conduct oxygen rounds.

Be hardworking and eager to learn the many duties and responsibilities of a RRT.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:   

Must be actively enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.

Must possess a current temporary limited permit to practice Respiratory Care (RCLP-L1) in the State of Ohio.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA).

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregive include:

Prior healthcare experience

Skills: critical thinking, independent working, active listening, collaboration and adaptability.

Physical Requirements:

Physical demands include the ability to walk and stand for long periods of time; having the ability to perform duties while walking, standing, stooping and lifting.

Normal hearing and vision or corrected to normal range.

Requires the ability to lift materials weighing 50 lbs. or more, push wheeled equipment, and assist in the lifting and repositioning of patients.

Must have strong hand-eye coordination, full range of body motion and manual finger dexterity to manipulate equipment.

Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
