Respiratory Care Practitioner - Alaska Medical Center *Per Diem*

Under supervision the Respiratory Therapist provides services to patients at PAMC as prescribed by physicians in conjunction with established policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines. Responsible for the assessing the patient's respiratory status and recommending appropriate therapies. Implements therapies and evaluates patient response to therapeutic interventions. The Respiratory Therapist accepts and promotes professional development as an integral part of practice. Assesses, analyzes, customizes, coordinates and communicates the patient's plan of care and actively collaborate with other members of the health care team.

Required Qualifications:

upon hire: National Registered Respiratory Therapist - National Board for Respiratory Care. Or  upon hire: National Certified Respiratory Therapist - National Board for Respiratory Care. upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association. within 90 days of hire National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association. 5 years Critical care experience as Respiratory Therapist.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate's Degree Respiratory Care.
