Respiratory Care Practitioner II (Registered)
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner II (Registered) to join our healthcare team in Baltimore. In this role, you will provide comprehensive respiratory care services, working under approved protocols to deliver high-quality patient care across all age groups and conditions.

Manage assigned patient caseload while responding promptly to emergency situationsPerform specialized respiratory care treatments for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients according to established protocolsAdminister and monitor therapeutic gases, aerosolized medications, and chest physiotherapy treatmentsConfigure and manage invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation equipment, including optimization of settings and parametersEvaluate treatment effectiveness through analysis of diagnostic results, vital signs, and patient responseCollaborate with healthcare team members during patient rounds to adjust treatment plansDocument patient care activities accurately in electronic health record systemsParticipate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and educational programsEnsure compliance with Joint Commission, State, Federal, and organizational standardsMonitor and maintain respiratory equipment according to safety protocolsCompany Description

QualificationsAssociate's Degree or Legacy Approved Certificate Program in Respiratory CareCurrent licensure as a Respiratory Care practitioner from the Maryland Board of Physician Quality AssuranceValid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board of Respiratory CareCurrent Basic Cardiac Life Support CertificationMinimum one year of experience as an RRTDemonstrated proficiency in mechanical ventilation managementStrong clinical assessment and critical thinking skillsExperience with electronic health record systemsExcellent patient care documentation abilitiesProven ability to work effectively in fast-paced healthcare environmentsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsCommitment to ongoing professional development and advanced respiratory credentialsEmergency response capabilities and ability to remain calm under pressureAdditional Information

Compensation:

Pay Range: $33.52-$56.82
