Summary: 

The Respiratory Care Student is responsible for providing basic and respiratory care services in all clinical settings in the hospital under the supervision of a Licensed Respiratory Therapist. The Respiratory Care Student follows the orders of the patient’s physician, helps plan, evaluate and treat patients for acute and chronic Pulmonary issues while in the hospital setting.  The Respiratory Care Student collaborates with other health care providers for the patient’s continuum of care.

Education:

High School diploma - documentation must be provided within 30 days of hire
Enrolled in a program to graduate with a minimum of an Associate of Applied Science in Respiratory Care program.

Licenses:

Respiratory Therapist Student Temporary Permit issued by the NC Board of Respiratory Care

Skill:

BLS within 30 days of hire
