MAIN FUNCTION: To assess patients based on their medical history for admission into the Pulmonary Rehab Program. Assists in the development of exercise prescriptions and protocols and supervises exercise therapy. Manages care plans and new patient intakes. Provides support with oxygen administration and titration for patients requiring O2 supplementation. Monitors SpO2 saturations for every patient, provides education for patients on breathing mechanics and coping with their restrictive and/or obstructive pulmonary disease. Assists patients in equipment understanding concepts and lifestyle modification principles.
EDUCATION: AS degree in Respiratory Therapy, Bachelors preferred
EXPERIENCE: RRT required; 1 year clinical experience required; BLS required, ACLS required; RPFT, AE-C, NRP desirable.
