Are you a skilled respiratory therapist looking for a flexible and rewarding opportunity? UPMC Muncy is seeking a dedicated professional to join our team on a casual basis, working rotating three—12-hour shifts per six-week schedule to maintain casual status. 

Applicants will be placed into the appropriate job title and salary based on individual education, experience, and certifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Assessment: Read prescriptions, measure arterial blood gases, and review patient information to determine the best treatment plans. Therapy Administration: Set up and operate respiratory therapy equipment, ensuring optimal treatment parameters and patient safety. Emergency Response: Assist in transporting mechanically ventilated patients and respond to all code situations. Documentation: Maintain accurate patient charts and order equipment repairs as needed. Education & Supervision: Demonstrate respiratory care procedures to trainees and supervise students during their training. Clinical Evaluation: Monitor patients’ physiological responses to therapy and perform pulmonary function tests to aid in diagnosis.
