Respiratory Therapist

Works under the direct supervision of the Respiratory Therapy Manager.  Assists in planning and supervising the administration of Respiratory Therapy to the patient upon the physician's orders.  Performs respiratory procedures to obtain high quality results to ensure the well-being of the patient.  Assists others to insure a timely completion of duties, so that patient care is completed in a timely basis.  Treats all patients, customers, and coworkers with courtesy and respect to continually show improvement in the service we offer to our co-workers and the communities we serve.   

Education, Work Experience and Licensure:

Graduate of an Accredited Respiratory Therapy Program with an Associate Degree or equivalency of CRT plus 2 years' experience. Must fulfill the educational and experience requirements for qualifications as Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner and have satisfactorily completed the educational requirements for the Certification or Registry by the National Board of Respiratory Care.  Must be a Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner in the State of Ohio.    Must be a Certified Respiratory Therapist or a Registered Respiratory Therapist with the National Board of Respiratory Care.     If certified, then at least 2 year of clinical experience in respiratory therapy is preferred. If Certified must obtain registry within 2 years of hire date.                                  BLS required ACLS, PALS and NRP preferred. If you do not have, they must be obtained within 3 months of hire date.
