Respiratory Therapist
Perform Pulmonary Function Tests and daytime sleep studies according to established procedures. Maintain confidentiality with dealing with patient information. Perform follow up on patient and provide assistance as needed. Provides treatment services for both PFT and DME patients. Performs telephone follow up with each patient who has undergone sleep study procedures and/or been fitted with CPAP equipment. In compliance with new Medicare guidelines, schedules patients for appointments following the start of CPAP treatment in the home. Provides auto-titrating CPAP/BiPAP machines for patient use, downloads information upon return of the machine and makes treatment recommendations based on data obtained. Perform follow up on patient and provide assistance as needed. Correctly documents all patient encounters for purposes of chart maintenance and billing. Maintains a clean, neat, orderly and safe work area. Maintains strict patient confidentiality. Available to work overtime on an occasional or as-needed basis.

 

 

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

 

Current Credentialing as Respiratory Care practitioner (RRT or CRT) Licensed in the state of Georgia Current CPR certification Knowledge of the equipment used for applying CPAP and Bi-level therapy

 

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED

 

Experience working in home healthcare or sleep diagnostics is preferred.
