Requirements:

An Associate's degree from an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program is required.NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist and licensed by the Florida Department of Professional Regulation in accordance with Chapter 468 of the Florida Statutes, or NBRC Certified Respiratory Technician with state license.Current BCLS certification required.Completion of Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required.  Pediatric Advances Life Support (PALS) certification preferred. 

About the Job:

The Respiratory Therapist, under the supervision of the Director of Respiratory Care Services, is responsible for providing respiratory care services in accordance with specific physician’s orders and department policies and procedures.  Utilizes judgmental responsibility to give correct therapy to assess the effectiveness of therapy associated with therapeutic gases, aerosol and humidity, chest physiotherapy and rehabilitation and pulmonary function testing. 

Intubation, neonatal and labor and delivery experience are highly recommended.5+ years of experience preferred.
