ResponsibilitiesRegistered Respiratory Therapist Job Summary:
The responsibilities for adult care include, but are not limited to: all types of oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, airway management with intubations and extubations, arterial punctures and analysis, invasive and non-invasive ventilation management protocols and our "evaluate and treat" consult service that allows our therapists to fully utilize their assessment skills and to optimize the plan of care accordingly.The department boasts excellent relationships with the medical staff, including a supportive medical director (pulmonologist), critical care physicians and hospitalists. FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital offers a respiratory consult model that allows therapists to fully utilize their assessment skills and to optimize the plan of care accordingly.Services include: Level III NICU, Heart Center (including CABG), and both routine and cutting edge diagnostic services that include: Super Dimensional Bronchoscopy, Endobronchial Ultrasound Bronchoscopy (EBUS), and Bronchial Thermoplasty. QualificationsRegistered Respiratory Therapy requirements:
Graduate of an approved respiratory care technology program with a current North Carolina Respiratory Care license,Registered Respiratory Therapist or CRT credential, RRT preferred. Three (3) to five (5) years of current clinical respiratory care experience preferred.Clinical life safety certification requirements must be achieved prior to the end of the probationary/training period include: ACLS, PALS and NRP. Adult critical care experience is preferred
