Please read below and apply with an updated resume for consideration: **Type:** Ten-month contract, opportunity for extension or fulltime offer **Schedule:** Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm Mon, Wed, Fri in Arcadia and Tues, Thurs on site in Covina **Pay:** $37.20 to $39.20 an hour **Responsibilities of the Respiratory Therapist:** · Pulmonary Function testing · Review and evaluate history, physical exams, current vital signs, admission and current respiratory care orders for each patient; advise providers on appropriate respiratory care procedure and techniques · Initiate and update respiratory care plan for all patients per department policy and procedure; work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to implement the plan of care; monitor and document all pertinent clinical parameters and assessments on all assigned patients; modify treatment techniques based on patient response · Provide and document patient education for therapeutic procedures performed; communicate information regarding patient's clinical status to appropriate members of healthcare team; participate in the instruction and orientation of Respiratory Care team members, students and other allied health professional · Candidate should be able to provide excellent patient care, they should be able to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability, accepting new ideas and supporting changes in the department and clinic setting. · Function independently with minimum direction. · Utilizes effective listening, verbal, non-verbal and writing skills formally and informally. **Qualifications for the** **Respiratory Therapist** **:** · Associates degree in respiratory therapy · 1 year experience as a respiratory therapist · Assess plans implements and evaluates respiratory therapy with pulmonary modalities · Demonstrates proficiency in providing direct/indirect care and service to patients groups, pediatric and adult ages and classification · Familiar with diagnosis and pulmonary pathophysiology; able to perform patient assessment and provides appropriate therapy · Experience with pulmonary function testing **Why work for Adecco?** · Weekly Pay · 401(k) Plan · Skills Training · Excellent medical, dental, and vision benefits Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
