Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Cardiopulmonary Services Manager, the RRT performs respiratory therapy assessment and procedures, develops the plan of care, and documents treatments for patient with respiratory disorders according to state laws. Serves as clinical consultant to CRTT, nursing, ancillaries, etc. Responsible for CLIA, CAP regulations arterial blood gas. The RRT supports hospital and departmental activities such as program development, in-service training, process improvement, department meetings, interdisciplinary team meetings and quality assurance. Performs supervision of ancillary staff and students as related to patient care activities. Exhibits professional growth and development.
Job Specifications/Qualifications
Graduate from an approved AMA Respiratory Program.
Must hold current Arkansas State Respiratory Care License.
Respiratory Therapy Related Skills (Floor Therapy, Ventilator Care (Adult, Infant), ABG’s, etc.
NRP certified (Active Neonatal Life Support (full time RT only)
Active Basic Life Support
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
Additional languages preferred.
