Education Qualifications:Graduate from an accredited respiratory care/therapy program.

In this position you will provide respiratory care through patient assessment, planning, intervention, education, and evaluation.  In addition, you will perform all general and critical care respiratory care procedures and diagnostics on patients ages infant through adult. 
 
These duties include but are not limited to: 

Mechanical ventilationAirway managementCritical care transport Arterial blood gas punctureMedication delivery Bronchial hygiene Patient assessments and education.

The hospital provides both inpatient and outpatient services and holds the distinction of being a Level III trauma center. Additionally, it is designated as an Acute Stroke Ready Hospital and features a dedicated NICU department.

12-hour shifts (0700 - 1930, 1900 - 0730)

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:Staff must obtain and maintain certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist within 18 months of hire or transfer Must hold state licensure in appropriate state of practice upon hire or have applied and are waiting for state licensure in appropriate state of practice to award licensure not to exceed 30 days from date of hire

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certified within 1 month
