**Requirements:**
+ **NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist or Certified Respiratory Therapist**
+ **Respiratory Therapist License issued by the State of Alabama**
+ **Current Basic Life Support (BLS) & Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification**
**About the Job:**
+ Under the direction of Physicians and and Respiratory Director, perform all respiratory procedures in accordance with NBRC, State Regulations, and departmental policies.\
+ Is responsible for the administration of all Respiratory Care modalities on all age groups of patients from neonate through geriatric.
+ Collaborates with other professionals in and out of the Hospital to ensure effective, efficient patient care delivery and achievement of desired outcomes.
+ Recommend and implement appropriate respiratory care procedures and protocols based on observed abnormalities.
+ Provides respiratory care to patients in acute, chronic, and emergency situations. Manages mechanical ventilation and artificial airways in critical and general care areas.
+ Collects and analyzes arterial blood gases as well as administers aerosolized medications and other respiratory treatments.
+ Initiates, monitors and manages patient’s oxygen through various devices including high flow nasal cannula and non-invasive positive pressure ventilation.
+ Document patient care records in accordance with outlined policies and procedures.
