Position Responsibilities:

Administers & Coordinates medical prescribed therapy as assigned. Prioritizes Patient therapy according to patient acuity on a daily basis. Accountable for administration observation charting and reporting effects of drugs oxygen respiratory treatments and other the raputic and diagnostic measures. Completes assignments on a timely basis while adapting to changing workloads when required. Maintains standard shift productivity. Demonstrates knowledge of indications contraindications hazards and troubleshooting of all treatments as assigned. Demonstrates effective and efficient care through clinical competencies at least annually. Demonstrates competency in drawing and/or running arterial blood gases at least annually. completes all forms in medical record and departmental records accurately and legibly according to hospital/departmental policy and procedure. Communicates pertinent information at shift report. Fulfills on call responsibilities according to departmental policy. Participates in critical care program as an educator. Monitors ventilation patients according to departmental standards. Demonstrates ability to teach and educate patient and family according to departmental policies and procedures. Uses supplies equipment and resources in a cost effective manner

Qualifications:

Florida license for Registered Respiratory Therapist. BLS Certification. Graduate of a two-year accredited program for Respiratory Care 1-2 years intensive care/ABG drawing/analysis
