Requirements:
An associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy and a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) License issued by the State of FloridaCurrent Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) & Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) CertificationsAbout the Job:
Under the direction of Physicians and and Respiratory Director, perform all respiratory procedures in accordance with NBRC, State Regulations, and departmental policies.Recommend and implement appropriate respiratory care procedures and protocols based on observed abnormalities.Provides respiratory care to patients in acute, chronic, and emergency situations. Manages mechanical ventilation and artificial airways in critical and general care areas.Collects and analyzes arterial blood gases as well as administers aerosolized medications and other respiratory treatments.Initiates, monitors and manages patient’s oxygen through various devices including high flow nasal cannula and non-invasive positive pressure ventilation.Document patient care records in accordance with outlined policies and procedures.With the help of more than 600 employees, 150 credentialed physicians, and more than $12 million of recent capital upgrades and renovations, North Okaloosa Medical Center is a caring place where clinical expertise and advanced technology blend seamlessly with sincerity and compassion.
