NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)Respiratory Therapist License issued by the State of AlabamaCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Life Support (PALS) & Neonatal Life Support (NRP) Certifications Required Must have strong Level 1 and/or Level 2 NICU experienceAbout the Job:
Under the direction of Physicians and and Respiratory Director, perform all respiratory procedures in accordance with NBRC, State Regulations, and departmental policies.Recommend and implement appropriate respiratory care procedures and protocols based on observed abnormalities.Provides respiratory care to patients in acute, chronic, and emergency situations. Manages mechanical ventilation and artificial airways in critical and general care areas.Collects and analyzes arterial blood gases as well as administers aerosolized medications and other respiratory treatments.Initiates, monitors and manages patient’s oxygen through various devices including high flow nasal cannula and non-invasive positive pressure ventilation.Document patient care records in accordance with outlined policies and procedures.We know it’s not just about finding a job.
