12 hour shifts - 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am. Rotating Weekends and Holidays. The Respiratory Therapist provides care to patients with breathing-related conditions and conducts diagnostic testing. This job requires working both independently and part of the multi-disciplinary team to treat and respond to the immediate needs of the patient. * Provides services to patients of all age groups in accordance with physician orders, department policies and procedures. * Measures lung capacity and analyzes blood samples using a blood gas analyzer. * Evaluates respiratory care policies and procedures based on patient outcomes, current research, and best practices. * Responds to codes and calls for emergent assistance. Assesses patient condition and delivers appropriate treatment.
