Job Summary Onsite 7am-3:30pm Mon-Fri. with availability for the charge/staff on weekends & after office hours to reach for administrative support. No holidays. Report directly to the department director. The Respiratory Care Manager is highly professional and is responsible for operational and administrative oversight of the Respiratory Care department. The Manager has oversight and responsibility for budgeting and financial management, operations improvement, program planning/development and quality improvement initiatives. The Manager collaborates with clinics and hospital administration to assure the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective care. The Manager is expected to develop and maintain positive relationships with physicians and clinical leaders serve as the administrative point of contact for all internal and external customers and ensure the satisfaction of patients, families, staff, and physicians. The Manager is responsible for creating an environment of safety conducive to achieving quality outcomes, effective use of resources, and retention of quality staff. The Manager will provide operational and administrative leadership to charge therapists, staff Respiratory Therapists, and Student Respiratory Therapists. The Manager is responsible for the hiring and development of new employees, monitors their competency, and the appropriateness of care provided to patients and their families. The Manager collaborates with other disciplines on issues related to the effective management of patient care.
