This position is responsible for assists the department Manager and Supervisors in the smooth functioning of the outlet by organizing the daily administrative work and welcoming and seating Bow & Arrow guests according to department policies and procedures.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:
Welcomes Bow & Arrow guests in a warm, friendly, and inviting mannerUtilizes the Core Value Standards when interacting with guest and fellow Team MembersProvides outstanding customer service to both internal and external guestCoordinates all guest seating in a timely fashion in accordance with proper station rotation and prescribed by the outlets management teamInforms guests of any seating/dining packages or minimums that may applyObserves tables and keeps track of clean, dirty and occupied tablesTakes guest information and quotes accurate wait time or maintains an orderly line, depending upon specific restaurant procedures, when tables are not immediately availableProperly answers all phones and pages, assists guests, Supervisors and Managers and takes accurate messages as neededAnswers guest questions concerning restaurant concepts, menus and directions to and from various points Interacts with all exiting outlet guests to thank them and solicit commentsSecondary Duties and Responsibilities:
Cleans and organizes the host area and ensures menus are stocked and are in presentable conditionMaintains all comps, paper comp voids, special request forms, coupon vouchers and tickets as prescribed by the outletAssists the department Supervisor and Manager in opening and closing duties including arranging the room, setting tables and preparing for special eventsAssists the Beverage Supervisors and Manager in maintaining the cleanliness of the outlet including bussing tables as neededPerforms other related duties, as assignedMinimum Education and Qualifications:
Previous guest service experienceOne year of experience in the hospitality industry is preferredStrong written and verbal communication skills with a proficient ability to read, write and determine wait times based upon proceduresMust be able to visually scan the restaurant for clean, unoccupied tablesMust be able to communicate effectively in EnglishMust be able to maintain a neat and professional appearance throughout shiftsStrong organizational and multi-tasking skillsCompetencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:
Thorough knowledge of operational policies with regard to hours of operation, types of menus offered, restaurant concepts and marketing programsGood knowledge of all legal beverage service guidelines and state liquor laws including proper identification, refusal of service and shutoff proceduresProperty wide knowledge of Mohegan Sun for the purposes of assisting guestsProficient and any online/computer based reservation/seating systemUnderstands and complies with Mohegan Sun policies and proceduresTraining Requirements:
Outlet-specific standard operating proceduresSMART alcohol awarenessPhysical Demands and Work Environment:
