 Restaurant Host/ Hostess is responsible to welcome and seat customers, check reservations, manage wait list when the restaurant is busy, and ensure that all parties are seated evenly across the restaurant.

Nestled within the vibrant Town at Trilith, this 192-room boutique Tribute Portfolio hotel is designed not to rest weary travelers, but instead, to awaken the storyteller in all who visit. Opening its doors in early 2024, Trilith Guesthouse in Fayetteville, Georgia is a gathering place for artists, storytellers, and makers, surrounded by creativity and the nearby Trilith Studios, one of the largest purpose-built movie studios in North America. Featuring sophisticated accommodations, over 17,000 square feet of meeting space, a chef-driven restaurant, and a European-inspired rooftop bar and lounge, Trilith Guesthouse embraces all who seek to continue the timeless tradition of storytelling, promising an immersive experience like no other.   

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

High school diploma or GED equivalent.Prior job-related experience preferred.Computer literate.7th/8th grade math skills required.Food Handlers CardAbility to communicate effectively with the public and other employees.Read, write, and speak English fluently.No employee will pose a direct threat to the health/safety of self or others.

Physical Requirement:

Exert physical effort in transporting up to 30lbs.Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas.Remain in stationary position for 5 hours throughout work shift.Satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.

Duties:

Takes reservations for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.Plans and organizes reservations on restaurant seating chart.Greets guests as they enter the restaurant.Seats guests in an open section or at a reserved table.Provides guests with menus and ensures they are seated comfortably.Assigns guests evenly across different servers’ sections in the restaurant.Maintains restaurant’s seating chart throughout the shift.Adds guests’ names to waitlists as necessary.Takes drink orders for guests as they wait or directs them to the bar area as necessary.Notifies guests when a table is ready.Keeps the hostess station neat and organized.Assists in rearranging tables for large parties.Reports any problems or issues to restaurant manager.Attends staff meetings.Assists in setting up and cleaning up the restaurant during opening and closing shifts, respectively.Addresses and resolves customer concerns and complaints.Reorganizes seating chart if a server calls in sick.Keeps in contact with servers to make sure the seating chart is properly balanced.Thank guests for dining at the restaurant when they leave.Any other duties assigned by the manager or supervisor.
