The award-winning Hilton Columbus Downtown is adding a brand-new role. They are looking for a Restaurant Sales Coordinator to book amazing groups/events at 4 of our amazing outlets: FYR Short North, Gallerie Bar & Bistro, Spark, and Stories on High. With this property already receiving top awards within Hilton (ex. 4-time Connie Award Winner and F&B Program of the Year), rated as an AAA 4-Diamond Hotel, and undergone a multi-million dollar expansion, this is an incredible opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have 1+ years sales experience & a proactive selling attitude. This is a great opportunity to showcase what the Hilton Columbus outlets have to offer and book amazing and fun events!

What will I be doing?

\n

As a Restaurant Sales Coordinator, you would be responsible for soliciting, securing and responding to customer inquiries regarding the purchase of food and beverage and use of event facilities in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

\n\nPromote, solicit, and respond to leads by telephone, e-mail or direct conversation with existing clients.\nSolicit and develop new clients for private dining events to be held in hotel restaurants. \nCourteously and timely answer incoming phone calls, respond to e-mails from persons inquiring about rental of rooms and purchase of on-site (hotel) food.\nPrepare proposals, contracts and BEO related to the private event. Calculate and quote prices.  Ensure events are properly recorded in DMPE and OpenTable.  \nAssists with organizing and conducting pre-shift and department meetings communicating pertinent information to the staff, such as house count and menu changes. \nManage set up direction with Food & Beverage department.  Meet & Greet events.\nAttend BEO meeting and other scheduled meetings to support business operations.\nSubmit a weekly sales summary to Director of Rooms and Director of Food & Beverage with account notes.\n\n
