Restaurant Servers, also known as waiters or waitresses, play a key role in the food service industry. They greet customers as they arrive, arrange for appropriate seating arrangements, and take orders. Restaurant servers are expected to be cordial, pleasant and welcoming as customer satisfaction and retention is their prime concern.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

High school diploma or GED equivalent.Prior job-related experience preferred.Computer literate.Food Handlers Card7th/8th grade math skills required.Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other employees.Read, write, and speak English fluently.No employee will pose a direct threat to the health/safety of self or others.

Physical Requirement:

Ability to speak and hear.Close and distance visionIdentify and distinguish colors.Frequent walking with some standing at times.Will walk for long periods of time, possibly extended distances.Frequently lifts/carries up to 25 lbs.Occasionally lifts/carries up to 50 lbs.Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bimanual dexterity and fine motor skills.Able to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel and stoop repeatedly.

Duties:
