The Role:

Serve food and beverage items in a knowledgeable, friendly and helpful manner to all guests


Responsibilities:

Greet all guests at tableRespond to guest inquiries regarding menu, wine list, Music HallInform guests of daily specials and make recommendationsSuggestively sell menu items, beverages, desserts, etc.Anticipate and respond to guest needsRespond to guest concerns/complaints regarding food or service and correct errors or resolve complaints with a friendly, positive attitudeOrganize and prioritize service per appropriate service sequenceTake menu, beverage and bar orders from guests and communicate orders to kitchen and/or bar through micros terminalCheck food orders prior to serving to ensure that they are correct, properly presented, and that special requests have been metDeliver food and beverages to tablePerform opening/running/closing duties according to HOB policyMaintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through work area throughout shiftHave the ability to memorize menus and daily specialsPre-bus tables:  remove dirty plates, glasses, etc., from table once guest has finishedClean spills on tables or around work areaMaintain HOB safety and sanitation standardsPrepare guest checks (on micros terminal) and check for accuracyReceive payment and process cash, credit card or traveler’s check transactionsHave knowledge of all music, promotional or special events in the houseAssist other servers or other employees as neededRequired to occasionally work Special Events that are scheduled throughout the venue

Qualifications:
Required:

(State or County Licensee or Certification Requirement)/ Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification or Equivalent2-5 years high volume experience in restaurant operationsWorking knowledge of high volume restaurant operations and safe, responsible alcohol serviceStandard food preparation/presentationSkill in guest relationsWine & Liquor knowledgeAbility to handle multiple tables at one time efficiently and with an upbeat, friendly attitude; read guests in order to anticipate their needsHigh School Diploma

Preferred: 

Point of Sales knowledge, preferably MICROS

Physical Demands/Working Environment:

Working environment is fast-paced, often loud and stressfulPosition requires extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feetMust be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper lifting techniques
