Description
An innovative opportunity for an STNA to work in a Skilled Nursing Facility as part of the therapy team! This position operates in direct collaboration with Physical, Occupational and Speech therapy professionals in the role of a Restorative Nursing Assistant. Hourly Pay is $16/hr. This position offers flexible scheduling, dayshift hours, and competitive pay. If you are an STNA and looking for something new and exciting, this is the opportunity for you. This is not a typical floor STNA position. This is a full-time temporary role for roughly 6 weeks. Part-time hours available after temporary position ends.

Responsibilities:
Performs restorative nursing tasks in accordance with care plans and facility policies and procedures; including active and passive range of motion, splint or brace assistance, bed mobility, transfer, walking, dressing and/or grooming, eating and/or swallowing, amputation/prosthesis care, and communication within the scope of the individuals’ training.
Promotes and supports the greatest possible degree of independence for residents.
Contributes knowledge of resident’s conditions/needs to resident care plans.
Maintains confidentially of residents’ information.
Record all restorative documentation entries on flow sheets, notes, charts, etc., timely and in an informative and descriptive manner.
Work closely with therapists and Restorative Nurse designee to establish restorative nursing goals and interventions for resident’s care plan.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with facility staff and good public relations with patients and families.
Performs tasks to individual residents or as part of small group classes.
Reports changes in a resident’s condition to the resident’s nurse.
Perform basic nursing care and restorative nursing tasks under the direction and supervision of a professional nurse.
Periodically work beyond usual working hours as needed for facility emergencies, weekends and holidays.
Consistently portray the mission, vision, core values, cornerstones and professional image of Concept Rehab.
Exercise good judgment in the performance of job duties.
Special projects and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Must possess a high school diploma or GED. State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) required or Licensed in the state(s) where services are being provided as an Occupational Therapy Assistant or Physical Therapist Assistant Recent experience working in a skilled nursing facility (1 year) preferred Experience working as a Restorative Nursing Assistant preferred
