We are currently seeking a Restorative CNA who will embody the passion and commitment required to deliver the ultimate care for our residents. Full-time day shift to be scheduled either 7:00am-3:15pm or 8:00am-4:15pm with rotating weekends (every other Saturday and Sunday). EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS : + High School graduate preferred. Current New York State Nursing Assistant Certification + Prior experience in a geriatric or rehabilitation setting preferred. REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE: + Assist in ROM and group exercise programs. + Help with group and individual transfer activities. + Offer support in group and individual ambulation classes. + Set-up and supervision of an appropriate client population and caseload. + Maintain a level of supplies and assist in the requisition of additional supplies. + Actively participates in the departmental Performance Improvement Program. + Provides input for policy and procedural review. + Knowledge of the dementia population and dealing with related behaviors. + Able to recognize when a resident is in pain and takes appropriate actions. + Demonstrates competency in transferring of residents and demonstrates competency in guarding techniques. + Adheres to all aspects of customer service, some examples include the following: working together, showing empathy, courteous communication, and respect of others.
