Job Summary: Retail Associate is responsible for assisting guests as they shop, including greeting guests, answering questions related to the merchandise, and following procedures to capture the sale and purchase of merchandise. The Details: Position Type: Seasonal Season Dates: Starting April 2025 and ending mid to late October 2025 Pay: $13.75 per hour Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays) Why Mount Rushmore National Memorial? Assists in keeping merchandise stocked on the shelves, counters, and tables within the retail store. Assist guests with merchandise including, but not limited to answering questions, making suggestions based on guest’s needs, emphasizes selling points of article such as quality and utility, and demonstrate use of merchandise. Follow procedures to prepare guest sales in the register. Maintain assigned cashier drawer and follow all cash handling and payment procedures. Assists in keeping merchandise stocked on the shelves, counters, and tables within the retail store. Examines defective article returned by customer to determine if refund or replacement should be made. Follow Company and departmental environmental and safety practices, policies, and procedures. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous retail experience is preferred. Previous cash handling experience is strongly preferred. Ability to provide excellent guest service. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where tasks and priorities can change quickly and with little notice. Willing to “pitch-in” and help the team with tasks. Must be a positive team player with flexible schedules who like to have fun and have the passion to work. Physical Requirements include: Constantly standing, walking, handling, reaching outward, lift/carrying up to 10 pounds, and pushing/pulling up to 12 pounds. Frequently reaching above shoulder, climbing, lifting/carrying 11-20 pounds, and pushing/pulling up to 13-25 pounds.
