Retail Distribution Associate
Overview Big Sky Resort offers an array of retail outlets: Big Sky Sports, Provisions, Big Sky Cap Co., Lone Peak Logo Shop, Riders Room, Peak Pros, and Big Sky Resort Store(year round location, located in Town Center of Big Sky).   We are looking for a Retail Distribution Associate to play a supportive role in the retail division in the front and back of the house. Including but not limited to stocking products from the warehouse to the sales floor, processing and sorting of incoming and outgoing products, inventory movement and transfers, price updates, retail merchandising, and inventory assessment in all retail outlets. We are looking for a self-starting, friendly person who is able to multi-task and prioritize based on business needs. Please note there is no team member housing available for this position.   Check out Big Sky Resort's retail outlets at the link here.  Responsibilities Will be required to gain strong knowledge of Big Sky Resort property and the surrounding area Must be able to answer questions about activities and sights in the area Stock retail outlets from backrooms and new shipments Assist in the processing of new merchandise for retail outlets Deliver new shipments to retail outlets Assist in product transfers among retail outlets Pick online orders and complete the outbound shipment process Assist with inventory cycle counts to ensure accurate quantities on hand Assist in product merchandising in retail outlets Assist in repricing products for price updates Cleaning and organizing daily to keep the front and back of the house in prime appearance Must be able to work independently and multi-task, greeting all guests promptly entering the store and hosting a warm atmosphere Maintain a positive and cheerful attitude at all times Training and Employee Growth: Participate in all required Big Sky Resort Retail employee training Be proactive in your ongoing education regarding the company, weekly reports, products, and the outdoor retail business Take advantage of additional in-store and outside training opportunities that are offered Qualifications The highest level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail is required Must have effective verbal and written communication skills Must possess the ability to work under pressure and understand time-constrained projects Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is required Must have the ability to work independently or in a team setting Customer service skills are necessary Being self-motivated and a self-starter, along with proper time management and planning skills is required Physical Requirements: Continually able to stand/walk for extended periods Continually able to reach overhead, bend, squat, kneel, and carry products, necessary for customer service, inventory re-stock, and store merchandising Ability to walk up and down a staircase, carrying boxes, products, and other necessary store-related items Ability to regularly perform store maintenance items:  sweep, vacuum, empty trash, clean Ability to safely lift boxes up to 55 lbs. assisted  Comfortable climbing ladders Additional information   All full time seasonal employees can enjoy the following benefits: FREE All Mountain Ski Pass and eligibility for Free or Discounted Tickets to other Montana Mountains and Boyne Resort properties Discounted vouchers for skiing at Big Sky Resort for friends and family Discounted ski/snowboard rentals with a free employee lesson 25%-50% off F&B and Retail at all Boyne outlets Eligible for seasonal loyalty bonus Lodging discounts for friends and family Discounted Lone Mountain Ranch Cross Country Ski Trail Pass Wellness Day and Eligibility for PTO Monthly employee events
