The Retail Experience Planner role will utilize creative design skills to elevate Marvin’s products and brand within Marvin dealer showroom and retail spaces. This role will be responsible for designing showroom space layouts, developing product merchandising programs, and creating market-facing resources to document showroom best practices. 

 

The Retail Experience Planner will work partner closely with the field sales and marketing teams to identify and support dealer showroom planning and design needs. This role will also identify opportunities for new Marvin Retail Displays and showroom assets to support the selling process and create an elevated brand experience.

Highlights of your role Responsible for timely design and delivery of showroom and retail space plans and design documents that align with the dealer’s business goals and showroom needs. Set up and lead design consultation appointments with Marvin dealers, internal stakeholders and external partners to discuss client projectsCollaborates cross-functionally with Marvin teams and with external partners to ensure the design is consistent with brand standards and Marvin Showroom Experience guidelines. Use design programs (e.g.: CAD, Revit, SketchUp) to create and deliver Marvin dealer retail layouts with appropriate product fixtures and sales enablement assortments based on local market opportunity and dealer modelEnsure retail plans comply with federal, state, and local regulations (ADA, fire, basic construction codes, etc.)Specify detailed product schedules for each planCoordinate product/display orders, ensuring assortment is captured through Salesforce dealer profilesMaintains visibility to and properly manages project budgets, timelines, and design plansMonitor the performance of visual merchandising efforts, including traffic patterns and flow, fixture ordering and maintenance, and implement design and procedural improvements when necessaryCreate merchandising reports and provide clear analysis and insight that supports the development of detailed Retail Experience Plans, forecasting based on display and sales enablement use, and the impact of the Marvin Showroom ProgramActively supports and participates in showroom and retail experience special projects, initiatives, program rollouts and improvement efforts You're a good fit if you have (or if you can) Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and/or other site planning and/or space planning platforms; proficiency in using Microsoft Office SuiteKnowledge of best building practices and design detailingOutstanding organization, attention to detail, prioritization, and project management skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple activities under tight timelinesAbility to successfully collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners and act as a trusted advisor through the showroom planning processSelf-motivated, takes initiative, dependable, proven work ethic and integrityTravel required to Marvin manufacturing facilities and dealer showrooms as needed (approximately 30%) Also want to make sure you have Bachelor’s degree in business, architecture, interior design, retail management, or related field5+ years of experience in retail store planning and commercial interior design (may be a combination of visual merchandising, store planning, planogramming, or store environment experiences)Experience working and negotiating with external sourcing vendors We invite you to See Yourself at Marvin
