The Retail Inventory Controller oversees the daily inventory management of multiple retail outlets to ensure cost of sales objectives are met. This includes placing orders, submitting purchase orders, receiving of product into inventory software managing inventory, establishing SOPs and procedures as well as the training of associates in POS processes. The retail inventory manager will partner with the Director of Retail to ensure appropriate inventory turnover via prudent ordering. The retail inventory controller will work closely with the Accounting department on end of the month responsibilities and conduct physical inventory as directed by the Accounting department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Manage inventory control of multiple outlets to include establishing pars and reorder SOPs. Create purchase orders and place orders with vendors as needed. Ultimately establish process to be owned at store level. Receipt of product and reconcile to invoice, enter into inventory software, create tickets. Track consignment orders and process vendor payment Track and monitor returns and update inventory accordingly   Review and track fulfillment orders Monitor discounts Price and ticket merchandise accordingly.  Ensure all new products are on the floor in a timely manner and that back stock is clearly organized in the storage rooms. Track inventory and monitor product aging to minimize markdowns Conduct random inventory spot checks and ensure all month end procedures are adhered to. Work closely with retail attendants in the maintenance of storage room and back stock cabinets for appearance, organization, and operational effectiveness. Oversight of physical inventory for retail outlets per standard. Participate in the month end review and confirmation the EOM checklist is complete Any other duties as assigned by the Director of Retail. Additional duties as necessary and assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

May need to remain standing for extended periods of time.Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and hearing ability and visual acuity.Talking and listening occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and subordinates.
