Job Summary:

This position will be a key member of the team responsible for driving strategic growth and building La-Z-Boy to have the best shopper and consumer experience in the industry. This role will lead the strategic development & implementation of the shopping journey for La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries through omnichannel touchpoints, retail message hierarchy and retail value proposition. Spearhead the development and execution of campaigns & evergreen promotions for Furniture Galleries network, inclusive of company-owned stores and independent FG dealers, with the goal of increasing consideration among our target segment, maximizing store traffic and sales results. Collaborate on all promotional communication for the Furniture Galleries network and company-owned stores. Work closely with merchandising, operations, sales teams, field management, independent dealers and account executives to build and maintain programs that will fuel the growth and health of the Furniture Galleries network and La-Z-Boy retail.

Job Description:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned):

Lead the development of omnichannel touchpoints for Corporate Furniture Galleries in alignment with our brand strategy & consumer/shopper insights.Lead the execution of marketing in-store & creative media assets for expanded and unique retail value propositions.Lead the development of campaigns & evergreen promotional strategy, tactics and promotional prioritization to fuel the growth and health of the Furniture Galleries network and La-Z-Boy retail.Implement retail & marketing tactics with a test and learn approach to enable learnings and potential scale implementationsManage the campaign & promotion process and lead the creative team on in-store point-of-sale development and fulfillment. Manage budgets for said activities and achieve cost-savings.Manage the customization and development of all promotional assets and marketing playbook/toolkits to support the FG network of stores.  Responsible for confirming details related to pricing, promotional offers, product upgrades, and disclaimers to ensure accuracy, as well as coordinating with merchandising and operations to ensure product and promotional alignment to achieve cross-functional goals regarding sales, margin, units and traffic.Work directly with and counsel individual Furniture Galleries (and La-Z-Boy Account Executives) to maximize dealer participation in all Furniture Galleries marketing programs with the overall goal of improving traffic, sales and driving brand consistencyDevelop and maintain a project management process for overseeing creative and production to ensure that deliverables are being met on time and within specified specs.  Work with internal brand, product and retail marketing teams and various external Agency partners to coordinate creative and production timelines, schedules, status meetings and processes for streamlining creative development,Collaborate closely with retail team members and Agencies to execute advertising, events and other functions as appropriate.

SCOPE & IMPACT: 

Responsible for campaigns and evergreen promotions, which produce ~40% of written sales annually for LZB stores. This role will develop & lead the process to help manage the creative and production of materials to support 25+ promotions & marketing toolkits a year for the FG network of approximately 350 stores.  This role is also responsible for managing resources to successfully execute marketing plans within defined timelines and budgets.   

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

Bachelor’s degree is Marketing, Business or related field with 6-8 years of relevant experience including 1-3 years of supervisory/leadership experience or equivalentExperience in retail marketing or advertising, as well as familiarity with retail programs campaigns and/or promotionsExperience in omnichannel initiatives, in-store consumer experience and shopper satisfactionMust be organized and able to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.Demonstrated analytical skills and be data driven.Good sense of design, composition and creative.PC proficient (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)Versed in creative process, services and production.Curious and passionate for delivering resultsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to work with cross functional teams and manage outside resources.An enthusiastic self-starter who is self-motivated and motivates others.
