Retail Operations Manager

Job Summary: The Retail Operations Manager, reporting to senior management, oversees and coordinates the operations of multiple fashion retail stores within a designated area. This role involves managing a team of Area Managers and ensuring each store operates efficiently, meets sales targets, and upholds brand standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Area Manager Supervision: Directly manage and guide a team of Area Managers responsible for individual stores within the designated area. Set performance expectations and objectives for Area Managers and conduct regular performance evaluations. Provide coaching and support to help Area Managers achieve their goals. Store Operations Management: Ensure that each store within the area follows company operational standards and policies. Oversee daily operations, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and customer service. Monitor and analyze store performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement. Sales and Financial Management: Collaborate with Area Managers to develop and implement sales strategies and goals for each store. Analyze sales data and financial reports to assess store performance and make recommendations for improvement. Assist in budgeting and expense control to maximize profitability. Visual Merchandising and Brand Standards: Ensure that all stores maintain consistent visual merchandising and brand presentation. Implement and enforce visual standards and promotional campaigns across stores. Collaborate with marketing teams to execute marketing initiatives effectively. Staff Development: Oversee the hiring, training, and development of store staff, working with Area Managers to ensure they provide excellent customer service. Foster a culture of teamwork, excellence, and customer focus. Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels and turnover rates to minimize stockouts and overstock situations. Collaborate with Area Managers to implement loss prevention measures. Compliance and Policies: Ensure all stores adhere to company policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Stay informed about industry regulations and implement necessary changes. Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports on area-wide store performance, sales KPIs, and operational metrics. Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement.
