Retail POS Tester

Our client is seeking a Retail POS Tester to join their team. As a Retail POS Tester, you will be part of the Quality Assurance department supporting the development and implementation of cutting-edge retail solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and effective communication abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Retail POS Tester
**Location:** Calgary, AB – Must be onsite 5 days a week
**Job Responsibilities:**
+ Conduct functional, performance, and regression testing on POS systems, ensuring they meet quality standards.
+ Verify that POS systems integrate correctly with other retail systems such as inventory and payment gateways.
+ Detect and document defects or malfunctions in POS software or hardware and communicate them to development teams.
+ Simulate various payment methods to ensure accurate processing and transactions.
+ Prepare and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test cases, results, and issue reports.
**Qualifications:**
+ 3+ years’ experience in testing, with a strong background in Business to Consumer (B2C) application testing preferred.
+ Familiarity with POS systems, software, and hardware components.
+ Strong analytical thinking for identifying bugs or issues in the system.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills for documenting test cases and interacting with internal teams.
+ Experience with testing tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or Selenium is a plus.
