Retail Projects Manager

The Team:

The Retail Operations department supports all Hermès of Paris retail boutiques in efforts to reduce in-store operational and administrative workload, as well as streamline processes and achieve operational excellence. The Retail Projects team supports the retail network by managing the lifecycle of all projects impacting store operations, allowing for an exceptional user and client experience.

 

The Opportunity:

As the Retail Projects Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the lifecycle of group and local projects. Contributing to the successful deployment of new tools, systems, and processes in all US Hermès retail stores, both in an active and supportive manner.

Reporting to the Director, Retail Projects and Processes, this position will facilitate deployment strategies, timeline development, support and follow up for the project roadmap. This role will collaborate with key corporate partners and the Operations network and focus on performance monitoring of newly deployed tools by leveraging KPIs and supporting change management for store users.

 

About the Role: 

Support the testing, pilot and roll out phase of new tools and help identify opportunities with existing tools. Support with the management of the roadmap. Develop and update timelines, streamlining priorities. Responsible for UAT (User Acceptance Testing) of new and updated tools and processes. Partner with local and group IT to address any gaps identified during testing. Manage the pilot phase of for all deployments. Develop communication, provide direct training, monitor progress, and troubleshoot with the store(s). Support change management by providing train the trainer sessions to the Operation Training team, to help develop supporting materials and guidance for stores. Consult with retail teams and other corporate partners, follow up, and address reported issues. Partner with the Retail Projects Coordinator on tracking of reported issues. Support roadmap progress by tracking and recapping key deployments as assigned. Including providing KPIs to measure the success of these deployments. Partner with IT to support equipment needs of the stores. All other duties assigned by supervisor.

Budget Responsibility: 

Yes, the Retail Projects Manager will work within the parameters of the department’s set annual budget. The employee should identify areas for cost and efficiency to minimize costs when possible.

 

Decision Making Responsibility: 

Yes, this position will be responsible for developing deployment plans, for key projects.  Establishing and updating timelines as priorities shift.  Providing guidance on all systems and tools, and perspective for implementation of new processes, as a matter expert.

 

About You: 

Bachelor’s Degree A subject-matter expert on all systems, tools and processes impacting store operations. A minimum 3+ years of experience in a similar role with project management experience preferred, retail operations experience or experience with transferrable skills.  Involvement and knowledge setting timelines and reporting goals; proficiency on related software systems a plus (MS Project, Planner, Office Timeline). Strong written and verbal skills; excellent and articulate presentation skills. The ability to effectively listen and communicate appropriately to various audiences at multiple levels. Well versed with technology and expertise in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel. Meticulous and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Flexible collaborator who can effectively prioritize. Ability to work cross-functionally. Solid understanding of budgeting and ability to exercise appropriate judgement. Proven excellence at meeting long and short-term deadlines Ability to be transparent but discreet with sensitive information.

 

The range for this  is $79,123.50 - $100,000.00 annually. Actual rates are determined based on the job, location, and individual experience.
